Class Title, Description, and Cost:

- - B 11. Beginning Machine Sampler with Lois Smith. Lois Smith’s book Machine Quiltmaking will be used as the text for this class. Students will learn pattern drafting, invisible appliqué, perfect machine piecing, strip and log cabin piecing, smooth curve piecing, personalized heritage block designing and easy finishing by machine. Instructions for twenty different blocks will be given in all. Actual quilt construction will take place at home. Machines are not required in class. Tues.: Oct. 16, Nov. 20, Dec. 18, Jan. 15, Feb. 5, Mar. 18, Apr. 22 (Snow Date: May 20): 10 a.m. - 12 noon. $125

- - B 12. Advanced Machine Sampler with Lois Smith. Work on a special project of your own choosing in a supportive environment; get help from the teacher and other students with the problems you encounter. Teacher assists with scheduling, planning, problem solving, and teaching new techniques when needed. Create that quilt you've been meaning to make! Tues.: Oct. 16, Nov. 20, Dec. 18, Jan. 15, Feb. 5, Mar. 18, Apr. 22 (Snow Date: May 20): 1 - 3 p.m. $125.
