You are invited to our SuperBowl Ball! :) A sale, really, but I could not resist the rhyme. (grin) Our annual SuperBowl Sale is this coming Sunday, Feb 3, from 1 to 5 pm -- EVERYTHING in the store (regular priced goods) is 20% OFF, not just fabric. This would be a really good time to stock up for your cold season sewing as well as for spring, graduation and any wedding gifts you need to make. :)
As is our usual custom, cut yardage must be at least 1/2 yard to qualify for sale prices ... fat quarters are on sale, too, but no free ones with a dozen purchased ... thread, batting, notions, books, patterns -- it's all on sale. :) Do plan on coming (but don't expect much project assistance or help from us that day, unless it happens to be quiet:).
We have some great classes coming up that still have a few openings. Norma Campbell's class, 'Thirty Something,' will start soon (Feb 4th?) ... Monday evenings (see our web pages for details). She made her quilt with 30's prints but, of course, you could use whatever colors you really like (I think it would be _smashing_ in batiks:). This quilt combines piecing and applique -- if you are a reluctant applique maker, this would be a good class for you to learn easy machine applique techniques from Norma.
We have another class starting a week later in Feb -- Didi Salvatierra will be teaching a wonderful patchwork pattern called Tumbler in a table runner format. Great time to make something pretty for your Easter or Passover table! :)
I hope you are taking a little time (even 15 minutes a day can be good for you!) for your own needle pleasures -- remember to breathe deeply and don't let the 'talking heads' on the tube scare you too much! Life is what we make of it ... and _I_ am making quilts! :)
