Lois just completed this commissioned quilt, made from the ties of a deceased doctor for his family. The pattern comes from Kumiko Sudo's book, 'East Quilts West.'

This is a detail of a baby quilt that Lois made for a neighbor's new baby boy.Temecula

Debbie made this sampler in Lois's Beginning Machine Sampler class. She was still debating how to border the quilt.C

These blocks were hand embroidered by Debbie's mother and made into a quilt by Debbie, as a gift for her daughter's upcoming wedding. The elaborate quilting was done by Marge Coffee.

Tree made this Christmas Tree quilt with a number of photos of relatives in the ornament positions.

Susan made this New York Beauty variant in Lois' class, Points of Interest. The small sharp points in each block are made with silk tie fabric. Lois remarked on the effective use of electric blue as an accent color in Sue's quilt.

Blanche dyed fabrics for the background squares in this antique replica basket quilt in Lois' Dyeing Fabrics class. Blanche used a run of eight shades of beige to very effectively mimic aged fabrics.

Sue Mitchell made this quilt in Lois' class, Focus on Fabrics: Japanese. Sue calls it -- There's a Dragon in My Japanese Garden.

Blanche also took Lois' Focus On Fabric class. Here she shows the border she made using the Prairie Braid design and incorporating scraps from all the Japanese fabrics in her top.

Tree Margolis made this quilt from a photograph she had taken of a bridge in Antietam. She did machine made needle lace as well as applique in this piece.

Tree made this New York Beauty quilt as a wedding gift, using the Lady Liberty Goes To Hawaii pattern by Karen Stone.

Kathleen took Lois' Beginning Machine Sampler and was so happy to finish her quilt she named it 'Got It Made!' Again, Lois remarked on the effective use of the 'zinger' pink print.

Anne took Lois' Points of Interest class and used Australian Aboriginal prints she had collected. Notice the additional applique in the top row to allow the background print to curve to echo the New York Beauty arcs.

This is a small collage quilt Anne made to highlight autumn leaves -- it is a copy of a block she completed for Lois' Birthday Quilt.

This is Jackie's sampler quilt made in Lois' Beginning Machine Sampler class last year. Jackie is taking the class again this year and is making a double-sided quilt.

Eleanor took Lois' Beginning Machine Sampler class (her first quilting class!) and is very happy with her completed quilt (which she sleeps under every night). Notice the use of lace fabric for the outer border.
