This is a photo of Ann trying to explain her dilemma with designing a border for this lovely patchwork piece made with Japanese fabrics.

A closer view of Ann's patchwork.

Beth Rice showing her piece "My Work Table".

Beth Rice shared this piece which she started in Lois's 'Renegade Shapes' class. It features items found on Beth's quilting table
-- pins (flower headed and safety basting pins), rotary cutter, seam ripper, iron, ironing mat, cutting mat, etc.

Carol Jean Weber showing her quilt 'Interlaced Borders', made using our block of the month patterns from 2002-2003. She won Best of Show from the Howard County Fair this summer for this quilt.

Another quilt made by Carol Jean Weber; begun in a class in Kansas and finished with the help of Lois Smith and other members of the Advanced Sampler class.

Edith showing her New York Beauty quilt made in class taken with Lois Smith.

A baby quilt Edith made using Laurel Burch 'Jungle Song' fabrics and pattern from Seminole Sampler.

Lois and her Mary Englebreit New York Beauty quilt -- she has recently added machine embroidered teapot and teacup motifs to this quilt (which hangs in her kitchen).

The newly-completed raffle quilt for NimbleFingers quilt guild -- Lois is the raffle quilt committee chairperson and 'mothered' this quilt into completion. It will be raffled off in October, 2005.

A quilt Nancy Evans began in a class with Ricky Tims which uses hand dyed fabrics she made in the dyeing class with Lois.

The next quilt in Nancy's series of quilts made using quick piecing methods and her own and other (purchased) hand dyed fabrics.

Small quilt made by Nancy Evans using hand dyed fabrics
-- working out the methodology for quick piecing Hourglass blocks.

A jewelbox quilt made by Nancy Evans using quick piecing (no measure) rotary cutting and hand dyed fabrics.

Small quilt made by Nancy Evans using hand dyed fabrics and quick piecing techniques she has refined.

Renee Richards and her New York Beauty quilt which was begun in class with Lois.

Renee's beautiful New York Beauty quilt in fall colors, begun in class with Lois. This is Renee's SECOND quilt ever.

Susan Bennett started this quilt in Lois's 'Focus on Fabrics' class -- she used Japanese fabrics, including an antique silk obi, to execute this piece.

Tre Margolis made this New York Beauty Sampler quilt using Karen Stone's book; she encountered some problems which Lois and the members of the Advanced Sampler class helped her to solve.

Tre made this sampler using Jenny Rayment's 'tucks, textures and pleates' techniques. Again, she worked on this with Lois and members of the Advaned Sampler class.

A small foundation pieced quilt showing the lighthouse of St. Augustine, Florida -- made by Tre Margolis for her daughter.

A small appliqued quilt of an early-20th-century female golfer, made by TreMargolis as a gift. As you can see, she won some nice ribbons with this piece.

Another small appliqued quilt, this one of a male golfer (made as a gift for the spouse of the female golfer).

There was one beautiful quilt at this show and tell of which I do not have a photo to share -- my digital camera 'ate' the picture. Bobbie made a wonderful blue and white Japanese print 'Focus on Fabrics' circle quilt in Lois's class. It is bordered with a beautiful yukata print of white circles on blue indigo background that complements the interior fabrics wonderfully. Sorry, Bobbi!!
