What is QUILTERS QUEST? FUN FOR QUILTERS!! Eleven* Maryland and Northern Virginia quilt shops have banded together to present GREAT QUILTING FUN for all Questers!

From Thursday, November 6 through Sunday, November 9, each of the eleven shops will be open special hours for excited, exploring quilters. Grab a passport at your local shop (available mid-September) and START QUESTING!

Special exhibits, gorgeous quilts, breath taking fabrics, inspiring books and patterns await every Quester! Each shop will have a different free pattern to hand out for making an assortment of patchwork fan blocks, designed by Jinny Beyer, as well as fabric kits for sale to make those fans.

Again this year will be collector’s pins and charms for sale to Questers -- a charm from each shop of their own fan block and a display pin to show them all (of course, these charms would be beautiful scissors fobs, charms for bracelets, purse jewelry, etc!:).

Find a quilting buddy (or two or three) to go adventuring with you -- or maybe take one of the planned bus tours -- this Quest is not-to-be-missed FUN FOR EVERY QUILTER!

New this year will be SPECIAL DISCOUNTS for car pools of four or more quilters (contact your local participating shop for help forming a carpool). Additional NEW prizes include several gas cards and two tickets to the Ricky Tims Super Seminar planned for April, 2009 in Frederick, MD!

All quilters who visit each of the eleven shops to have their passports stamped will be entered into the Grand Prize Drawings -- more prizes, more chance to win in the 2008 Quilters Quest! In addition, every quilter who completes the Quest will receive a collectors tote to celebrate their circuit.
