 | N M - 7. Maryland State Butterfly: Baltimore Checkerspot with Maria O’Haver. This is one in a series of quilt blocks designed to celebrate the beautiful state of Maryland. The checkerspot is a spotted butterfly which is the state arthropod (insect). The background for the butterfly blocks is made using paper piecing techniques. Fused applique with fabric paints are used to make the butterfly. Thur: May 1: 6 - 9 p.m. $35. |
